Burés was born from a business tradition spanning several generations. Its origins lie in an agricultural activity specializing in horticulture, established by the first generation in the 1930s.
Burés’ professional track record spans more than 60 years, and its products are the result of a careful selection of natural materials sourced from the earth.
Burés remains committed to advancing more sustainable agriculture and gardening practices that are better adapted to the environment in which we live, while providing solutions to the growing demands of the professional sector. Our goal is to cover all service areas in the field of growing media, soil amendments, and top-quality gardening soils, thanks to the excellent work of our plants in Girona (Vilablareix and Castelló d’Empúries), Barcelona (Castelldefels and Sant Boi de Llobregat), and Segovia (Escarabajosa de Cabezas). Our innovative product line offers the best solutions for fruit and vegetable crops, extensive and intensive field crops, lawns and public green spaces, as well as for nurseries and ornamental plants.
Sustainability
At Burés, we look to the future to find sustainable alternatives to raw materials that are not locally available. We are working toward sourcing organic and certified eco-friendly products through our R&D&I department, while striving to raise awareness among our end customers about the benefits this entails.
In fact, some of our companies, such as Verd Recycling and Edafo sm, were founded out of the need to successfully find alternatives by recycling and recovering materials. We are always committed to the circular economy and seek locally sourced raw materials, promoting the “KM.0” concept.

The production of Burés products involves a labor-intensive process during which we verify that each formulation is correct. All our products are tested daily. The results of the research conducted by Burés technicians in official laboratories and at our facilities guarantee unbeatable product quality. Research, Development, and Innovation (R&D&I) form the foundation for creating blends of different materials that deliver optimal results for each application.
Strengthening the R&D&I department is one of Burés’ top priorities. The company currently operates several plants equipped with state-of-the-art facilities for the development and design of new products, as well as for quality control.
