Mantillo is an organic soil amendment made from composted plant-based organic material. Specially formulated for professional gardening, it can also be used in other sectors such as horticulture—to cover seedlings or as an ingredient in growing media when mixed with inorganic materials (such as soil and sand).
Mantillo is a mixture of leaf compost, pine bark, pruning trimmings, pine sawdust, and ground, extracted seeds. During the composting process, the material is sanitized to eliminate pathogenic germs, weed seeds, and unpleasant odors.
