PRODEASA growing media are manufactured from high-quality raw materials that, when precisely blended, ensure the media’s effectiveness, providing drainage and aeration tailored to the needs of each crop. Each type of growing media has a different composition and a customized fertilizer blend.
All growing media are sold with a corrected pH (5.5–6.5) and a base fertilizer (NPK) for the start of cultivation.
Among PRODEASA’s growing media, there are four main lines that differ in terms of material type and properties.
BV LINE
Growing media made with ECOBOSC that produce more resilient crops that tolerate transplanting into the ground better.
It is the perfect alternative to peat, as the natural presence of beneficial microorganisms in the mixture has positive effects on plant growth and tolerance to adverse conditions. Its formulation also includes volcanic pozzolan (to facilitate drainage and maintain the substrate’s structure) and 35% Sphagnum blond peat.
With a hardening effect on plants.
PRODEASA BVU
The PRODEASA BVU growing medium is designed for forced cultivation in nurseries, enabling high-frequency irrigation.
The PRODEASA BVU growing medium is a peat-based blended growing medium. The BVU growing medium is a versatile substrate characterized by a balanced performance between water retention and aeration. BVU is the result of years of research aimed at developing an optimal growing medium.
BVU is made from blond Sphagnum peat, Ecobosc, and top-quality volcanic soil. The growing medium is an entirely plant-based product, to which a special fertilizer with an NPK ratio of 20-10-5 is added for the first few weeks.
BVU is a MIXING MEDIUM containing 15-7-15 NPK fertilizer + 3MgO, made from blond Sphagnum peat, ECOBOSC®, and volcanic soil.
BVU is a product manufactured in accordance with quality management systems. The growing medium is free of weeds, ensuring safe cultivation. The aerobic composting process to which it has been subjected ensures stability throughout the growing cycle and prevents nitrogen fixation. The growing medium is formulated to maintain its physical and chemical properties throughout the entire growing cycle.
The substrate’s high porosity and water-holding capacity make it a versatile medium in terms of the types of crops and plants it can support.
