Sifted peat with a particle size greater than 40 mm. Especially suitable for preparing growing media for nursery-grown shrubs and plants with high aeration requirements. The growing medium is prepared without additives. It can be used as a soil conditioner, as a source of humus, or as a component of potting mix.
Sphagnum peat, or blond peat, is used to improve both the moisture-retention and aeration properties of growing media.

Coarsely graded peat provides the growing medium with a porosity that is significantly different from that of other organic materials. As a fibrous and long-lasting material, it retains its properties over time.
