PRODEASA growing media are manufactured from high-quality raw materials that, when precisely blended, ensure the media’s effectiveness, providing drainage and aeration tailored to the needs of each crop. Each type of growing media has a different composition and a customized fertilizer blend.
All growing media are sold with a corrected pH (5.5–6.5) and a base fertilizer (NPK) for the start of cultivation.
Among PRODEASA’s growing media, there are four main lines that differ in terms of material type and properties.
RT/RTC LINE With disease-suppressing properties.
Substrates made from composted and graded Roldó that significantly suppress collar and root diseases while also stimulating plant growth.
A product line that stands out for its drainage and aeration properties, as well as its long-term stability.
Its formulation includes Sphagnum blond peat and long-fiber coconut coir for the RTC line.
PRODEASA RT30
RT30 is a growing medium made from composted pine bark and Sphagnum peat. Formulated from composted bark and blond peat, it has properties that help suppress diseases caused by fungi and bacteria.
RT30 is composed of two basic materials: selected, composted pine bark and blond Sphagnum peat.
The materials used to produce the RT30 growing medium have been selected to ensure the highest quality raw materials, and are then mixed and screened to obtain a uniform product. For the final finish, fertilizer is added, which is evenly distributed throughout the growing medium during the screening process.
Bark gives the growing medium a coarse texture and helps suppress diseases, while blond peat provides excellent water retention in the growing medium.
The slightly acidic pH of the growing medium allows for better solubility of essential micronutrients.
The growing medium contains fertilizer for the first few days of cultivation, so it may be necessary to add a controlled-release fertilizer (see: Ferticote)
