SCI-2 substrate is a mixture of red peat and long-fiber coconut coir. It is specially designed to facilitate rooting and accelerate the plant’s growth.
The main components of SUSTRATO SCI are blond Sphagnum peat from Baltic peat bogs in Northern Europe and coconut fiber, free of fine particles. The mixture can be prepared by incorporating different amounts of fertilizer depending on the crop’s needs and the customer’s requirements.
The mixture of peat and coconut fiber has excellent physical properties. The resulting growing medium is remarkably light and has high water-holding capacity. The ingredients in the growing medium extend its lifespan due to their slow decomposition.
SCI-2 contains a base fertilizer with an 11-12-13 nutrient ratio to promote growth during the first few days of cultivation. A controlled-release Ferticote fertilizer can be added if you wish to extend the growing cycle in the container and provide nutrients until the very last day.
The entire manufacturing process, as well as the final product, is subject to rigorous quality control to ensure our customers’ satisfaction, while also respecting the environment in all our activities.
